The 1st Korea-Norway Joint Committee Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation
Prof. Jeong Gil Seo attended the 1st Korea-Norway Joint Committe Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation on Oct. 29th, 2024, in Seoul, Korea, where he presented renewable energy (Hydrogen).
The committee discussed renewable energy(hydrogen), artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and polar science as four main areas.
In the renewable energy (hydrogen) sector, Korea and Norway exchanged policy insights and explored pathways for collaboration. They identified joint research opportunities that capitalize on Norway’s expertise in hydrogen production technology and Korea’s advancements in high-efficiency water electrolysis and hydrogen/fuel cell mobility technology. This collaborative effort aims to advance safe and cost-effective research in hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives, enhancing both nations' strengths in renewable energy innovation.
